Seven Layer Salad

Ingrediants:

1 Large Head Lettuce

1/2 Cup Chopped Celery

1/2 Cup Chopped Green Pepper

1/2 Cup Chopped Sweet Yellow Onion

1 10 Oz Package Frozen Peas

1 Pint Miracle Whip

2 Tbl Sugar

8 Oz Cheddar Cheese – Not Graded

1 3.25 Oz Jar of Bacos

Directions:

Choose a wide, flat bowl. My dark blue, enameled bowl, 13″ in diameter, 3 1/2″ high works well.

It is very important that the salad is built in the order that the ingredients are listed above!

Wash lettuce, tear apart, pat with paper towels to dry.

Put peas in a colander, rinse with cold water until thawed and drain.

Grate cheese by hand.

Fill bowl 3/4 full of lettuce.

Sprinkle the other ingredients, in the order listed, around in layers.

Mix sugar and Miracle Whip well before pouring on top. Spread with a spatula to cover well.

Sprinkle with cheese and Bacos.

Cover with Saran Wrap.

Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
